Here's what others have to say about their experience with Syracuse Prosthetic Center

As you've been reading through this website you've seen just a few of the thoughts that others have expressed about the care they've received at Syracuse Prosthetic Center.   Below you'll find a few more. And if after you've experienced our care for yourself you'd like to share you thoughts too, we'd love to hear from you.

"I have been to several different prosthetic facilities. Syracuse Prosthetic Center is the most accommodating. I am very satisfied with the quality, knowledge and hospitality of this office. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of their service."
– Guy Ferlo, Rome, NY

"I have been an amputee since 1973 due to an automobile/bike accident. I was on the bike and lost! I have been a patient of Syracuse Prosthetic Center since 1983 and they are the best prosthetists I have found. I have been to many prosthetists since losing my leg. I am now in the most comfortable socket I have ever worn. I am able to wear my prosthesis for 16 hours a day without discomfort. SPC is dedicated to satisfying patients and will adjust the socket until it fits comfortably with the rest of the components. They have a gift of aligning the socket which makes walking comfortable and smooth. SPC has given me a normal life that I am grateful for. When I am not working, I enjoy biking, hiking and canoeing. John, Gary and Sheila at Syracuse Prosthetic Center have earned my respect and friendship." – Ron Hepler, Williamson, NY

"I have an above knee amputation. I'm 89 years old and I use my prosthesis all day, every day. If I'm not a walking advertisement, there's no such thing! I highly recommend these folks to anybody." – Sidney Greenberg, Cazenovia, NY

"I've been to other facilities...You simply won't find any place where they care more, are more up to date with new technology or try harder to improve the quality of your life."
– Charles Barrus, Fulton, NY

"I can't begin to say enough about Syracuse Prosthetic Center's staff. They are always kind and considerate and will go out of their way to help me- in any area. They are the greatest people to work with." – Richard Corlis, Altmar, NY

"I don't think I could overstate how much John, Gary and Sheila have done for me. People like them are rare. I can't believe that I could receive better care anywhere. I hope that if you're in need, you're lucky enough to have them help you."
– Ara Tadevossian, Syracuse, NY

"I would like to express my deep appreciation to the three people of Syracuse Prosthetic Center, John, Gary and Sheila, for all that you have done for me over the past 25 years. You guys keep me walking comfortably and that's a real challenge!"
– Donna Ross, Oneonta, NY

"I travel a lot around the country and the world, competing with other great athletes from all over. I want to feel comfortable and look good. I need a prosthetic company that is always there for me. Syracuse Prosthetic Center is always there for me. They take their performance as seriously as I take mine. They go out of their way to help and always give the best that technology can offer." – Jennifer Kelchner, Truckee, CA. 1998 Paralympic Gold Medal Winner for downhill skiing in Nagano, Japan

Meet Ada Hackett...

Ada lost her leg above the knee due to complications from PAD. When she came to us she had been bed-ridden for two years.

We met Ada when her physical therapist asked us to evaluate a prosthesis she had recently had made by another firm. And, while the prosthetic was brand new, it did not fit.

As hard as she and her therapist tried they could not get it all the way on. And this caused Ana pain when she tried to stand. (Not to mention she couldn't lift the foot to even try to walk.)

We quickly determined that the problem was in the socket. We were able to make her a new one while keeping most of the rest of the prosthetic.

When we last talked with Ada she was making great progress. She was standing on her own for the first time in two years and working with her therapist to regain the strength she had lost from being bed-ridden...and she is looking forward to be able to walk out to her porch again and watch her birds and her garden.
